Job Overview
We are seeking empathetic and reliable Caregivers to join our team and provide personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires patience, compassion, and a commitment to ensuring the safety, comfort, and dignity of our clients. The ideal candidate will bring experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for improving the quality of life for those in their care.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Provide assistance with daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while respecting the client’s comfort and privacy.

• Mobility Support: Assist clients with mobility needs, including transfers, walking, and the use of assistive devices like wheelchairs and walkers.

• Developmental Activities: Engage clients in activities tailored to their developmental and cognitive needs to encourage growth and participation.

• Emotional and Social Support: Build positive relationships with clients, provide companionship, and encourage social interactions and community involvement.

• Communication: Collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure seamless care and address any changes in the client’s needs.

• Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, prepare meals following dietary guidelines, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.

• Documentation: Keep accurate records of daily activities, observations, and care provided.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with special needs or disabilities is highly preferred.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; additional training in caregiving or related fields is a plus.

• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory. Additional specialized training in developmental disabilities is a plus.

• Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, patience, and the ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift or assist clients with mobility challenges and perform physical tasks related to caregiving.

Additional Requirements

• Must successfully complete a background check.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are preferred.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
